We have a new website, courtesy of a grant from Palm Healthcare Foundation!
T. Leroy Jefferson Medical Society’s new website is designed to enhance member and youth engagement and be a resource to the community at large.
The new website was made possible by a grant in May 2015 from Palm Healthcare Foundation for the society’s Project Stratosphere initiative, which includes the new website and board and membership development projects. Concept International Design’s Daniel Wasinger and Digital Storyline’s Leon Fooksman were instrumental in developing the new website.
“Our redesigned website is fresh and innovative,” said Dr. Roger Duncan, TLJMS Board President. “We have been able to finally realize our goal of increasing content, information and knowledge for members, patients, students and the entire community. We are using the latest technology to tell stories and expand the reach of our mission.”
Features of the site include information about TLJMS community programs, events, and resources. The site also showcases the society’s youth focused programming aimed at creating a pipeline of young professionals going into the field of science and medicine, ultimately creating diversity in the fields.
Other highlights include photo galleries and a video vignette series “Road to Success: Profiles of Healthcare Professionals” in which healthcare professionals share their career challenges and triumphs. In addition, the new site provides comprehensive information about the organization and our activities, and offers direct links to resources for healthcare professionals, students, and community members.
