Dr. Shanteria D. Dixon is a highly skilled, board-certified emergency medicine physician dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients in South Florida. Affiliated with esteemed institutions like HCA Florida JFK Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center – West Palm Beach, Dr. Dixon has a proven track record of saving lives through rapid assessments and effective treatment of critical injuries. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Dixon’s years of experience have honed her expertise in managing a wide range of emergencies, from cardiac events and substance abuse overdoses to severe burns and traumatic injuries. Her unwavering commitment to patient well-being and her dedication to delivering the highest quality care make her an invaluable asset to the community. Raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Dixon developed a passion for medicine at a young age after a personal experience as a patient at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate degree and Emory University for a Master's in Public Health. She then pursued her medical degree at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and completed her residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Inspired by the dedicated healthcare professionals at St. Mary’s, Dr. Dixon returned to her hometown to join the Emergency Department team. She thrives in the fast-paced and challenging environment of emergency medicine, finding fulfillment in making a significant impact on patients’ lives. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and outdoor activities, particularly swimming and kayaking.
